1. General questions
Is the project really genuine or just fake?
No, the project is 100% genuine. It is based on a real idea and real goals that I want to pursue with this website. Every contribution and every initiative here is authentic and transparent.
Was the website created by an AI?
The website and its content are based on my own ideas and my vision. I did, however, use the help of an AI to plan the structure and to phrase texts efficiently. But all tips and content come from my own knowledge and convictions.
2. Design and technical decisions
Why are there no fixed images on the website?
This is a deliberate decision. Images are emotionally appealing, that's true, but they also significantly increase loading times and data volume. To keep the website as fast and resource-efficient as possible, I have chosen not to use images.
3. Donations and funding
What happens with the donations?
The donations are primarily meant to cover running costs, such as hosting and maintaining the site, as well as the initial setup costs. If any money is left over beyond that, I will use it to promote the site further or to support similar projects in the same spirit.
4. Technical questions
How does the map work?
Our map is based on Mapbox, a powerful mapping platform that enables interactive maps and location visualisations.
• As soon as you click on the map, a marker is placed at that position.
• When you click “Save your location”, the exact position (latitude and longitude) is sent to our database (at Wix).
• When the map loads, the system retrieves all saved locations from the database and displays them as markers.
What happens to my data?
We attach great importance to data protection and transparency.
Stored data:
• Only the latitude and longitude of your location are stored.
• No personal data such as name, IP address or device information is stored.
• Each location is given a timestamp (date & time) to show how the network is growing.
Who can see my data?
• All markers that have been placed are visible to visitors of the map.
• There is no way to link individual locations to specific people.
Can I delete my location?
• If you would like to remove the location you set, you can send us a message via the contact form and we will delete the entry.
Security:
• The data is stored in a Wix database protected by Wix servers.
• Third parties have no access to the location data.
5. What about the newsletter?
How often will something be sent?
I want to make sure the newsletter is a benefit to you, not a burden. There are no plans to flood you with regular emails. The newsletter serves solely to inform you about truly important news about the project – for example major developments, new features or special milestones.
6. Is there scientific evidence on the effect of stories on children?
Yes, numerous scientific studies show how important listening, concentration and imagination are for child development:
Listening & language development: Children who regularly listen to stories develop a larger vocabulary and better language skills. A study by MIT shows that conversations with children have a positive effect on their language processing and neural development.

Concentration & cognitive skills: Fostering the ability to concentrate can improve school performance and social behaviour in the long term. The High/Scope Perry Preschool Project demonstrates that early childhood education has long-term positive effects on cognitive skills.
